Green apartment living in downtown Denver

LEED Certification

Solera is projected to be the first LEED Gold-Certified Building in the Rocky Mountain Region. Here's our path on how we're getting there.

The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) has created the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) scorecard for assisting the building world in creating more environmentally-sensitive buildings. LEED is arguably among the most rigorous of the green building rating systems: over 2,100 buildings have been LEED-certified since the program's inception in 2000.

Solera is certified under the "New Construction" rating system - nationally 1,421 buildings have been certified under this category. This system is broken into four levels of certification: Certified, Silver, Gold and Platinum.

The level of a building's certification is determined by a point system. For New Construction, points/credits are allotted based on performance in six categories:
Solera is excited to bring the benefits of sustainable living to its residents and to Denver's vibrant downtown community as a LEED Gold Certified community development.
