“Solera is Colorado’s first LEED®-Gold certified, luxury high-rise urban apartment community located in the LoDo neighborhood of downtown Denver.
To meet the criteria for LEED Gold, Solera underwent a vigorous construction process that included using 10% recycled material and 20% locally produced materials, recycling 82% of all construction waste, the integration of a white TPO membrane roof with a solar photovoltaic system, and wood products approved by the Forest Stewardship Council.
Through these green initiatives and construction methods, Solera uses nearly 60% less energy than standard apartment communities. “LEED” stands for “Leadership Energy and Environmental Design” and is the most rigorous third-party maintained sustainability yardstick for the built environment. “
